An easy to pull together FBC (Freezer Bag Cooking) recipe, with directions for One Pot Method as well. Boil water, and 15 minutes till dinner time. It’s that simple. It’s like mac n’ cheese with rice instead of pasta, but with lots of tasty protein packed hamburger.
If you don’t like corn, add in any other freeze-dried vegetable you like. If you don’t like veggies? Just double the burger!
Cheesy Hamburger Rice
- 1 cup instant rice
- ¼ cup freeze-dried hamburger
- ¼ cup freeze-dried corn
- 3 Tbsp cheese sauce powder
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp dried garlic
- Pinch ground black pepper
Also Take:
- 1 packet or 1 Tbsp olive oil
Add the oil to the freezer bag, then add 1½ cups boiled water. Stir well, seal tightly and put in a cozy for 15 minutes.
One Pot Method:
Add the olive oil and 1½ cups water to a small pot. Bring to a boil, add in the dry ingredients and stir well. Cover tightly and let sit for 15 minutes. If in cool temperatures or at altitude, put in a pot cozy.
