The recipe for Beef Fajitas is gluten-free and carb friendly (only carbs are from the vegetables).
In this recipe I use freeze-dried for the ingredients to get a quick meal made. We use Thrive Life for our freeze-dried.
I’ve also added a mason jar method for taking meals on-the-go with you, a green alternative to using plastic bags to store ingredients in.
Chicken Fajitas
In a quart freezer bag:
- 3 Tbsp freeze-dried chicken
- 2 Tbsp diced dried bell peppers
- 1 Tbsp dried diced onion
- 1 tsp fajita seasoning mix
- ¼ cup freeze-dried cheddar cheese
FBC Method:
Pack all ingredients in the freezer bag.
Place freezer bag in an FBC Cozy, add ½ cup boiled water, stir well and seal tightly.
Let sit for 15 minutes. Stir before eating.
Taking on-the-go:
Pack the meal into an 8 ounce mason jar. Add ½ cup boiled water to it, stir, cover, and let sit 15 minutes. Stir before eating.
Serves 1.
Notes:
Take a couple street taco size tortillas (flour or corn) to make a full meal, if desired.
