Ranch. You either love it or hate it. It can bring a nice taste to rice dishes though, especially paired with chicken.

Ranch Chicken Rice
Pack in a quart freezer or sandwich bag:
- ½ cup instant rice
- ¼ cup freeze-dried diced chicken
- ¼ cup freeze-dried cheese (used Pepper Jack)
- ¼ cup freeze-dried tomato dices
- 1 tsp dry ranch dressing mix
- 2 Tbsp Parmesan cheese (shelf stable green can)
Also Take:
- 1 Tbsp pr 1 packet olive oil
FBC Method:
Place the freezer bag in an FBC Cozy or similar. Add in the oil and 1 cup boiled water, stirring well. Seal tightly and let sit for 15 minutes.
Stir and eat.
One Pot Method:
Bring 1 cup water and the oil to boil in a small pot (1.3 Liter or so). Add in the dry ingredients, stirring well. Turn off stove, cover tightly and let sit for 15 minutes.
In cooler temperatures or at altitude use a pot cozy to retain heat.
Stir and eat.
Serves 1.
