Rice and a creamy sauce, with plenty of beef, for a good protein boost. It’s got a hint of beef stroganoff, but without being fussy to prep.

Creamy Beef with Rice
Ingredients:
- 1 cup instant rice
- ½ cup freeze-dried diced beef
- ¼ cup sour cream powder
- 1 Tbsp dried onion
- 1 tsp or 1 packet low sodium beef broth powder
Also Take:
- 1 Tbsp or 1 packet of olive oil
Directions:
Pack the dry ingredients in a quart freezer or MRE Mylar bag and tuck the oil packet in.
FBC Method:
Place the freezer bag in an FBC Cozy and add the oil and 1¼ cups boiled water. Stir well and seal tightly. Let sit for 15 minutes. If using a mylar bag, add oil and water directly to the bag and proceed.
One Pot Method:
Add 1¼ cups water and oil to a pot and bring to a boil. Add in dry ingredients, stirring well. Put on the lid and remove it from the stove. Let sit for 15 minutes.
If in cooler temperatures or at higher altitudes, use a pot cozy.
Serves 1.
