High Protein Instant Meals: Asparagus Beef

You can have satisfying high-protein meals on the trail without tons of carbs. Although asparagus might not be your favorite, you can always use broccoli or green beans instead.

Ingredients:

Directions:

Pack ingredients in a quart freezer bag or a mylar bag. For longer-term storage, add a desiccant or oxygen absorber and seal. (Discard the packet before cooking.)

To prepare:

If in a freezer bag, place the bag in a FBC Cozy. Add  1 cup of boiled water, seal, and sit for 15 minutes. Stir well.

One Pot Method:

In a small pot, bring 1 cup water to a boil. Add the dry ingredients and stir well. Cover and remove the stove. Let sit for 15 minutes. Use a pot cozy to insulate in cooler temperatures or at higher altitudes.

Serves 1.
