Ranch. You either love it or hate it. It can bring a nice taste to rice dishes though, especially paired with chicken.

Ready to eat, this meal serves one and will fill you up.
Ranch Chicken Rice
Pack in a quart freezer or sandwich bag:
- ½ cup instant rice
- ¼ cup freeze-dried diced chicken
- ¼ cup freeze-dried cheese (used Pepper Jack)
- ¼ cup dried tomato
- 1 tsp dry ranch dressing mix
- 2 Tbsp Parmesan cheese (shelf-stable green can)
Also Take:
- 1 Tbsp pr 1 packet olive oil
FBC Method:
Place the freezer bag in an FBC Cozy or similar container. Add the oil and 1 cup of boiled water, stirring well. Seal tightly and let sit for 15 minutes.
Stir and eat.
One Pot Method:
In a small pot (1.3 liters or so), bring 1 cup of water and the oil to boil. Add the dry ingredients, stirring well. Turn off the stove, cover tightly, and let sit for 15 minutes.
In cooler temperatures or at altitude use a pot cozy to retain heat.
Stir and eat.
