BBQ Beef Bowl
Pack in a quart freezer bag or sandwich bag:
- 1 cup instant rice
- ¼ cup freeze-dried hamburger
- ¼ cup freeze-dried corn
- ¼ cup freeze-dried cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp dried diced onion
Also take:
- 1 packet or 1 Tbsp oil
- 2 to 4 packets BBQ sauce (They come in ½ to 1-ounce packets/tubs)
One Pot Method:
In a small pot, bring 1½ cups water, oil, and half the BBQ sauce to a boil. Add the dry ingredients and stir well. Turn off the stove, cover tightly, and let sit for 15 minutes. In cool temperatures or at higher altitudes, place the covered pot in a cozy pot to retain heat.
Stir well, top with remaining BBQ sauce and enjoy.
FBC Method:
Place freezer bag in FBC Cozy, add in 1½ cups boiled water and oil and half the BBQ sauce into bag. Stir well, seal tightly and let sit for 15 minutes. Stir, and top with remaining BBQ sauce as desired.
Serves 1 large to 2 smaller appetites.
