In this recipe, I use freeze-dried ingredients to make a quick meal. It’s a hamburger with the toppings in bowl format. It’s gluten-free, grain-free, and full of meat, cheese, and veggies.

Deluxe Hamburger
In a quart freezer or sandwich bag:
- ¼ cup freeze-dried cheddar cheese
- 3 Tbsp freeze-dried hamburger
- 2 tsp diced dried tomatoes
- 1 tsp diced dried onion
Also Pack:
- 1 packet relish (1 tsp)
- 1 packet ketchup (1 tsp)
- *See notes for more ideas
FBC Method:
Place the freezer bag into an FBC Cozy. Add 1/3 cup boiled water. Seal tightly and let sit for 15 minutes. Fold the bag down in half, cuffing it to make a bowl. Stir and top as desired with condiments.
Insulated Mug Method:
Pack all ingredients in the bag
Add dry ingredients into an insulated mug, add 1/3 cup boiled water, stir well, and cover tightly.
Let sit for 15 minutes. Stir before eating and top with condiments as desired.
Serves 1.
Notes:
Add whatever condiments you like on top: ketchup, relish, mustard and mayo. They all come in single serving packets. Amazon has a great deal on a bag of all 4, or you can always ask for a couple more if you eat out, or at the local deli in your favorite grocery store. Most places are happy to give you a couple packets.
