I’ve enjoyed the many Packit Gourmet no-cook wrap fillings over the years. Kickin’ Chicken Hot Wings Wrap was the last one, and I had not tried it.

The wrap filling can be eaten straight out of the bag or used in wraps for a hearty lunch.
It retails for $13.99.

I prepped it following the directions, using 4 ounces of cool water and a 15-minute rehydration time.
The chicken is perfectly diced into the smallest chunks, which allows for faster rehydration than using traditional-sized chunks of freeze-dried chicken. Seriously, the tiny dice are fantastic for quick rehydration. Unlike some cold-soak meals, due to the size, it rehydrated in the time allotted. Some col-soak can take double the time.
This meal used to come with mayo and hot sauce packets, but the sauce now consists of dried ingredients.
While I enjoyed the dish’s flavor, I missed the mayo packet. I’d have liked the option to add a packet with the meal, as some of their meals do. I also missed the binding that mayo does for chicken salads.
It has great flavor and texture, and it would be great in a wrap. I felt it was worth the price, as it is mostly meat (which isn’t cheap freeze-dried).
