Commercial Meal Review: Pasta Beef Bolognese

Packit Gourmet has a heartier pasta: Pasta Beef Bolognese. It is filled with vegetables, pasta, and ground beef. It’s comfort food.

Priced at $13.99 for a single serving. The serving size is ample. It will fill up most people. 740 calories, 9 grams fat and 31 grams protein is a lot.

The pasta is cooked in boiling water, added to the sauce (cold-prepped in the bag), and tossed.

I found that keeping the stove at a whisper of a flame was all I needed to keep the pasta simmering.

It is an easy-to-prep meal, though I highly recommend that you immediately wipe out the pot with a wet paper towel once you add the pasta and remaining cooking water to the bag. The pasta has herbs in it that will stick to the pot otherwise.

If you want to add water and wait for a meal to be ready, this isn’t it. It does involve actual cook time, but I found it well worth it. It has a great texture for the pasta and tastes like a fresh pasta sauce.

Ingredients:

Gemelli Pasta (100% pure Italian durum wheat enriched with vitamin B and iron), Organic Tomato Paste, Ground Beef (beef, salt, rosemary), Spices, Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Basil Pesto (basil, romano cheese, salt, spices, garlic powder), Organic Carrot Granules, Red and Green Bell Peppers, Organic Yellow Onion, White Onion, Sea Salt, Spinach, Parmesan Cheese, Mushrooms, Green Bell Pepper, Zucchini Squash, Sweet Basil, Celery.

I highly suggest a couple of packets of Parmesan cheese on top.

We highly enjoyed this meal and found it very kid-friendly. (Well, if your children like vegetables that is.)
