Our First Day Hike for January 1st was at the newer Cedar Creek Park in the heart of Maple Valley, Wa. Last year, in 2014, we also hiked the trail system. A lot of change has happened in the past year.
Especially in the trails getting markers now!
I had all 3 of the boys with me. A year makes a big difference in how fast the youngest, Alistaire, is hiking now. Even in the cold weather.
Everyone was all bundled up.

Fungi hanging out on cut trees that had fallen in storms.
Walking with my children is a blessing.
It was so cold this morning.
Hoar Frost shooting up.
And 3 boys happy to see the trailhead was almost in front of us and we’d go get warm.
It’s great to see changes to trails, especially in just a year’s worth of time.
