Chicken Alfredo Couscous

It’s chicken alfredo pasta, but with no cooking of the pasta. And ready in 5 minutes.
Chicken Alfredo Couscous
Ingredients:
  • 1/3 cup couscous
  • 1 Tbsp diced dried onion
  • 1 Tbsp dry Alfredo mix
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • ¼ tsp dried garlic
  • 1 Tbsp dry milk
  • 1 can 5-ounces chicken, with pop top
  • 1 Tbsp shelf stable parmesan cheese (green can)
Instructions:

At home pack the dry ingredients in a quart freezer or sandwich bag. Mark bag “Add ½ cup water”. Put the cheese in a small bag, and place it and the chicken with the bag.

FBC method:

Bring water to a near boil. Add the chicken with its broth to the bag along with the hot water. Stir well, seal tightly and put in a cozy for 10 minutes. Stir again and top with Parmesan cheese.

Mug method:

Bring the water to a boil, add the chicken with broth and water to the dry ingredients. Stir well, cover tightly and let sit for 10 minutes. Stir again and top with the Parmesan cheese.

Dry Alfredo mix is sold in packets, often in the pasta aisle in grocery stores.
