Wild Zora brought out soup cups a while back, but I had overlooked them. We picked up a sampler pack on Amazon to try, which contains 4 soups: 2 with meat and 2 vegan, all gluten-free for $17.99.
Each cup requires 8 ounces of boiled water, a good stir, and 15 minutes to rehydrate. If you are at a higher altitude or it is colder outside, I recommend using a cozy or something similar to insulate the cup.
I was at first unsure whether I would like the noodles used in the soups. They have a nice texture, with a toothsome bite. Not mushy at all, as rice noodles often are. This has sold me on trying sweet potato-based pasta/glass noodles as an ingredient in the future.
The soups are not short on ingredients; they are a meal in a cup. Very hearty and easy to prepare. I felt these would also be great for taking on trips – as long as you can get hot water (in a hotel, airport, or similar), you have access to safe meals (important for those with Celiac and food allergies).
We have reviewed a number of items from Wild Zora over the years. If you would like to check those posts out for more trail meal options.

Minestrone Soup
Vegan-friendly.
This soup I quite enjoyed – it was very hearty with both lentils and glass noodles, and the broth was satisfying. Highly recomend it.

Enchilada Soup
It is vegan-friendly.
Of the 4 soups, this was the only one I didn’t like. Partially, as I am not a fan of many “enchilada” flavored items, but what I noticed is that this soup was the only one in which the glass noodles didn’t fit in with it. It needed to be rice.
But as always, you might like it!

Hearty Chicken Noodle Soup
This soup is really hearty, full of chicken pieces, vegetables, and noodles. It is nightshade-free.

The soup has plenty of chicken and a mellow broth. I very much enjoyed this soup.

Veggie Beef Noodle Soup
It is nightshade-free.
I wasn’t sure at first, as the smell was very “Hippy Hut” before I prepared it. Once it was ready to eat, I found it tasted great – and smelled a lot more appetizing. The beef is in smaller pieces than the chicken above, but it works well with the size of the vegetables.
