Food Find: Zero Sugar Stryve Thinly Sliced Steak

I love a good jerky, especially one that has zero sugar added and a clean ingredient list. I was wandering a Weis market in West Virginia and saw them on sale, for $5.49 a bag. (Weis actually delivers to my house, using Prime on Amazon) I picked up the Hickory Seasoned; they had a Black Pepper as well.

Stryve makes three varieties of thinly sliced steak, all of which have zero sugar. They are air-dried, ultra-thinly sliced beef. Nothing unusual added, the last two ingredients, rosemary and green tea extracts, are natural meat preservatives, rather than using nitrites, which are not good for us.

As I said, the meat is very thinly cut, making it easy to eat. There is no chewing and chewing, as one does with traditional jerky.

The meat has a pleasant flavor and is not overly strong for the hickory flavor.

It would be very easy to rip it up and add it to meals for a protein boost. Each bag contains about 36 grams of protein, which is considered two servings.

They sell in multi-packs on Amazon; otherwise, they are tucked into the jerky and nut aisle in grocery stores.
