If you haven’t had freeze-dried pulled pork, it’s an awesome meat addition to FBC meals. It isn’t easy to source, however Thrive carries it, and they carry it in the smaller “Pantry” sized cans. You can use freeze-dried hamburger or chicken as well.
Comfort Bowl
In a quart freezer bag or sandwich bag put:
- 1 cup instant mashed potatoes
- ½ cup freeze-dried pulled pork (See above)
- ¼ cup cheese sauce powder
- 1 Tbsp butter powder
FBC Method:
Place freezer bag in a FBC Cozy or similar item, add in 2¾ cups boiled water, stirring well. Seal tightly and let sit 15 minutes. Stir again and eat.
One Pot Method:
Bring 2¾ cups water to a boil in a small pot. Add in dry ingredients, stir well. Place lid on, turn off stove. In cool temperature, or at altitude, put pot in a pot cozy. Let sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Stir and eat.
Serves 2.
