
- 1 cup instant rice
- ¼ cup freeze-dried corn
- 3 Tbsp dry tomato soup mix (1 packet)
- 1-2 tsp chili powder
Also Take:
- 1 can 3 to 5-ounces chicken, with pop top
- 1 Tbsp or 1 packet olive oil
At home in a quart freezer bag pack the dry ingredients. Mark bag “Add 1¼ cups water”. Pack the chicken and oil with the bag.
FBC method:
Place quart freezer bag in an FBC Cozy. Add chicken with broth. oil and 1¼ cups near boiling water. Stir well, seal tightly and put in cozy for 15 minutes.
Insulated mug method:
Add chicken with broth, oil and 1¼ cups boiling water to dry ingredients in an insulated mug. Stir well, cover tightly and let sit for 15 minutes.
One Pot Method:
Bring 1¼ cups water, oil and chicken with broth to a boil in a small pot. Add in the dry ingredients and stir well. Cover tightly and take off stove. Let sit for 15 minutes. In cooler temperatures or at high altitude insulate with a pot cozy.
Serves 1.
Note:
Sprinkle a bit of shelf stable Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
