Another find from the boys’ shopping at the grocery store for easy food finds. They picked out two flavors of the Nissin Cup Noodles Stir Fry line. The meals are similar to regular Cup Noodles except that they are what I would call a “dry noodle” dish, so without broth.
Each Cup Noodles was $1.99, and is found in the ramen section. Each cup is 380 calories, more calories than many freeze-dried meals, with both fat and 9 grams of protein to fuel you.

Stir Fry Teriyaki Chicken flavor.

Lots of dried vegetables. Fill with boiled water to the line inside the cup. Cover, and let sit for 10 minutes. Due to the cold weather I put the cup in an FBC Cozy before adding the water.

After 10 minutes. Stir up and enjoy!

Stir Fry Teriyaki Beef flavor.

Plenty of green beans and carrots.

The Takeaway:
We all liked these Cup Noodles. There was no broth to drain, and the noodles were plump and coated with sauce. It felt like a small meal rather than a snack. The boys have asked if I will track down the other flavors sold, as they want to try them all.
Health food? No. I mean…it is Cup Noodles. But it is tasty, affordable, and filling.
