Meal Review: 2 New Wild Zora Soups

Wild Zora has introduced recently two new flavors of their soup packets. (For the other three flavors, see here for our review).

Both new flavors have reasonable levels of sodium, are gluten-free, no added sugar, paleo and keto friendly, and are nightshade (no tomatoes), soy and peanut/tree nut free. They are AIP friendly (Auto Immune Protocol), a big reason we love these soups for our youngest son. If you have food allergies, and/or on a highly restricted diet to auto immune issues, I highly suggest you check it out.

The soups are great sipped on, or served over rice, making it a meal (something we do for Alistaire). And beyond hiking, these thin packets fit into a day bag or suitcase for travel. It isn’t hard to find a cup of boiling water if one asks nicely in most coffee/espresso shops, especially if you carry your own mug.

The new flavors joining the lineup are:

Mushroom Beef Soup

Contains: 100% Grass-fed Beef, Organic Carrots, Pumpkin, Cabbage, Green Onion, Champignon Mushrooms, Celery, Nutritional Yeast, Turmeric, Sea Salt, Marjoram, Thyme.

Of the two new flavors this was my favorite. It has a beefy big flavor, due to the mushrooms.

Savoy Beef Soup

Contains: Organic Vegetables (Beets, Carrots, Onion, Parsley, Garlic), 100% Grass-fed beef, Savoy Cabbage, Pumpkin, Wine Vinegar, Celery, Green Onion, Nutritional Yeast, Sea Salt, Dill.

Also great tasting, the wine vinegar gives it a boost with a sour hint (that is a good thing, it cuts across the taste buds).
