Local Adventures: Family Friendly Hikes

After mulling it over, the past few months we have started posting local hiking reports to our farm & homestead’s blog. We found it to be a better match, as our readership on TrailCooking comes from far and wide around the globe, where Never Free Farm’s readers are mostly regionally local.

If you love hiking in the Pacific Northwest, we’d love you to check out our many trip reports in Island, Skagit & Whatcom Counties in Washington State.

A recent favorite hike on Whidbey Island was hiking to Waterman Rock, the second largest glacial erratic on the island. Well worth the visit.

It’s the largest public glacial erratic as well, and an easy hike in. The hike also follows an old air strip, that is slowly being reclaimed by the woods.
